Color Picker

Use the Color Picker to apply a color to an object or control that supports color on the template or data entry form or to apply a background color to a template or form. You can use a predefined standard or Pantone® color, define a custom color, or select a color from your recently used colors or from a list of the colors that you have used in the current document.

Pantone® colors are available in the Professional, Automation, and Enterprise editions of BarTender.

The Color Picker includes four tabs. By default, only the first two tabs are displayed when you first open the Color Picker. Click to display all four tabs.

The following tabs are available.

ClosedStandard Tab

This tab displays standard color and grayscale palettes. Click a color to apply it to the currently selected item.

ClosedPantone® Tab

This tab displays a list of supported Pantone® colors. You can search for a color by name or number, or you can select the color category that you want and then click a color in the list to apply it to the currently selected item.

ClosedCustom Tab

This tab displays a color wheel that includes a selector that you can drag to specify the color that you want and a lightness slider that you can use to make the selected color lighter or darker.

This tab lists the colors that are used in the current document. Click a color in the list to apply it to the currently selected item.
