Administration Tab |
The Administration tab provides access to the standard file functions such as New, Open, Save, Save As, and Close. By using this tab, you can also open recently saved process files and view and create global variables that can be used by any action in a process file.
In the left navigation pane, the following options are available:
New: Opens a new instance of Process Builder in the Start window. From here, you can create a new process file.
Open: Opens the Open File dialog, where you can locate and then open an existing process file.
Save: Saves the process file. If the process file is new and was not previously saved, the Save As dialog is displayed when you click this option.
Save As: Displays the Save As dialog, in which you can save the active process file by defining the name and specifying the location where you want it to be saved.
Close: Closes the active process file without exiting Process Builder and then displays the Start window. If you did not save the changes that you made to the active process file, you are prompted to do so.
Recent: Lists process files that you previously created. Click a listed process file to open it in the current instance of Process Builder. When you right-click a listed process file, a menu is displayed that provides the following options:
Open: Opens the selected process file.
Copy path to clipboard: Copies the path of the process file to the clipboard.
Pin to list: Pins the process file to the list of recent process files. Pinned files remain in the list and are always available for you to click to open them.
Remove from list: Removes the selected file from the list of recent process files, but does not delete the file.
Clear unpinned process files: Removes any unpinned process files from the list of recent process files.
Options: Displays the Options page, where you can specify a name and description for the process file. You can also view predefined global variables that are available for use by all actions in the currently selected process file and create your own custom global variables.
Help: Provides options for you to access help and product information about BarTender.
Exit: Exits Process Builder. If you did not save the changes that you made to the active process file, you are prompted to do so.
