Root Folders Property Page

This property page displays the root folders that are configured for your network. These folders contain the BarTender document files that you want users to access and print by using Print Portal. This page is displayed by default when you first open the Administrative Setup page, and you can also access it by clicking the Root Folders tab.

By default, this page displays a folder for the document templates that are included with BarTender and a folder for documents that are stored in Librarian when you are running the Enterprise edition of BarTender. You can create any number of additional root folders and subfolders to contain and organize your files.

When you create a root folder, it is displayed in the navigation pane on the Print Portal Home page, and any subfolders and BarTender files within that folder are displayed in the document selection pane on the Home page.

You can limit root folder visibility to certain users or groups. To do this, you must first enable authentication for Print Portal. For more information, refer to Enabling Authentication.
