Print Portal provides a browsing method and a search method for locating the BarTender document files that you want to print. You might find it easier to locate your files by using one method instead of the other, or you might use a combination of the two methods.
For example, if you have a small number of folders and/or files, you might find it quicker to browse to the appropriate folder in the folder navigation pane and then select the file in the document selection pane. If you have many folders and/or files, it might be quicker to use the search method, assuming that you know the name of the file that you want to print or the name of the folder that contains the file.
To find a file by browsing
-
In the folder navigation pane, click the root folder that contains the file or that contains a subfolder that contains the file.
-
Continue to click subfolders as needed until you select the folder that contains the file that you want to print.
-
In the document selection pane, locate the file that you want. If there are more files than fit in the visible window, use one of the following methods to find the file:
-
Use the scroll bar to view all of the files.
-
Enter three or more letters of the file name in the Search field, press Enter, and then select the file that you want in the search results.
To find a file by searching
-
Enter three or more letters of the file name in the Search field, and then press Enter. Alternatively, if you do not know the exact name of the file, enter three or more letters of the name of the folder that contains the file, and then press Enter.
|
You can enter any portion of the file or folder name into the Search field. For example, when you enter "mini", folders and files that contain any form of "mini" in their names, such as "Mini-Labels", "Minimums", "Administrators", and so on, are returned in the search results.

-
When your search results include a folder, click it to view its contents in the document selection pane. Continue to click any subfolders as needed until the file that you want is visible.
After you find the file, you are ready to print it. For more information, refer to Printing a Document.
