Use the Insert Variable dialog to add variables to various properties on the integration property pages and the action properties tabs when you specify a value for the selected property. For more information about the types of variables that Integration Builder supports, refer to Using Variables.

To open the Insert Variable dialog, click the input field of a property that supports the use of variables, click in the toolbar, and then click More Variables.

Depending on the selected property, one or more of the following variable types are displayed in the left navigation pane: 

• Action: Click to display the available action variables.

• Integration: Click to display the available integration variables. This list includes both the default variables and any custom variables that you created.

• Global: Click to display the available global variables. This list includes both the default variables and any custom variables that you created.

• System: Click to display the available system variables.

The variable pane on the right side of the dialog displays the available variables for the variable type that you selected in the left navigation pane. To add a variable to your integration or action, select the variable, and then click OK. Alternatively, double-click the variable.
