Importing and Exporting Data Tables

You can import a data table from an external file or relational database into a Data Builder database. All database types that are supported in BarTender are also supported for import into Data Builder.

If the database that you are importing includes multiple pages or tables of data, and if you import all the pages or tables at one time, they are concatenated into one table in Data Builder. For example, when you import all the worksheets of a Microsoft Excel workbook that has multiple worksheets, the result is one table that contains the data in all of the worksheets.

To keep each page, sheet, or table that you want to import in separate tables, use the import feature separately for each.

You can also export the content of a data table to a file in comma-separated value (CSV) format.
