Value For Dialog

Use the Value for dialog to view and copy a variable value. In Administration Console, you open this dialog by clicking the icon next to the variable value that you want in the following places:

In the Variable State area of the Message Details dialog
On the Variables tab in the output section of the detailed integration view on the Integrations page

This dialog appears in other places in the BarTender user interface, and its name varies depending on where in the interface it was opened from. In the case of Administration Console, it is called either Previous value for <variable name> or New value for <variable name>.

This dialog provides the following options:

: Opens the Export text dialog so that you can export the variable value text to a file.

: Copies the selected content and places it on the Clipboard.

: Reserved for future use.

: Wraps the variable value text within the editing pane.

: Displays a list of encoding schemes to use when you export the variable value to a file. Click to select the scheme that you want.

: Displays the Find search bar so that you can search for text in the variable value. Click to see a list of search options.
