Use a watermark object to place a watermark version of a barcode symbol or other object onto the background of your template so that your data is encoded over the entire background surface of your printed items but is hidden. You can also add a corresponding visible barcode symbol that carries the same data as the watermark.

BarTender supports the Digimarc watermark technology.
