Border Property Page |
Borders surround objects on a template with a line or pattern. By using the Border property page, which you can access from the Object Properties dialog, you can add and customize a border for any picture, text, or barcode object on your template.
The following options are available:
Border Type: Specifies the shape of the border that surrounds the selected object. The available options are None, Rectangle, or Ellipse.
Margins
Top: Specifies the amount of space between the top edge of the border and the object.
Left: Specifies the amount of space between the left edge of the border and the object.
Bottom: Specifies the amount of space between the bottom edge of the border and the object.
Right: Specifies the amount of space between the right edge of the border and the object.
Box Options
The following options are available when you select Rectangle for the border type:
Corner Type: Specifies the shape type for the corners of the rectangle object. For example, the corners can be rounded, rectangular, beveled, and so on. To hide the corners, click None.
Opens the Corner Options dialog, where you can specify advanced corner options.
Corner Size: Specifies the distance from the beginning of the corner's shape to the invisible intersection of the "corner," as illustrated. When you use this option, the height and width of the corner have the same measurement. Available when you select Rounded, Beveled, Concave, or Inverted for the corner type.
Sides: Specifies which sides of the border are visible. The corners remain visible in all instances.
Line Properties
Thickness: Specifies the thickness of the border.
Color: Specifies the color and/or pattern of the border. For more information, refer to Changing an Object's Color.
Transparency: Specifies the degree to which the colors and objects that are under the border can be seen. The range is from 0 (opaque) to 100 (completely transparent). For more information, refer to Transparency.
Dash Style: Specifies the dash style of the border. Options range from a solid line to a variety of dashed and dotted lines. For more information, refer to Dash Style.
Compound Style: Specifies the number and thickness of the lines that the border is made of. For more information, refer to Compound Style.
Join Type: Specifies how the lines of the border are formatted where they are joined at a corner. For more information, refer to Join Type.
Fill Properties
Color: Specifies the color and/or pattern of the space that is inside the border. For more information, refer to Changing an Object's Color.
Transparency: Specifies the degree to which colors and objects that are under the space inside the border can be seen. The range is from 0 (opaque) to 100 (completely transparent). For more information, refer to Transparency.
