Use the Cluster Setup dialog to create a Printer Maestro resource on the cluster group of your choice. The Printer Maestro resource requires that a Print Spooler resource exist on the same cluster group. For this reason, you can also use this dialog to remove an existing Printer Maestro resource or to bring the resource on or offline.
The following options are available:
Printer Maestro Cluster Resource
-
Status: Displays the status of the Printer Maestro resource on the selected cluster group: Online, Offline, or Not Created.
-
Storage Directory: Specifies the storage directory for the Printer Maestro cluster resource. You must specify a disk resource that exists on the selected cluster group.
-
Create: Creates the Printer Maestro resource. If a Print Spooler resource does not currently exist, Printer Maestro opens the Create Print Spooler Resource dialog. A Printer Maestro resource is offline when it is first created.
-
Remove: Removes the selected Printer Maestro resource from the selected cluster group.
-
Online: Brings the Printer Maestro resource on the selected cluster group online.
-
Offline: Takes the Printer Maestro resource on the selected cluster group offline.
If you click OK or Cancel, Printer Maestro checks to determine whether a Printer Maestro resource exists on the selected cluster group. If such a resource does not exist, you are prompted to create a new one. If a Printer Maestro resource does exist and the Storage Directory has been changed, the resource is updated with the new directory.
