History Explorer provides a way to easily view information about your printing environment and the items that you print by using the BarTender Suite. History Explorer stores BarTender documents and print job information in the BarTender System Database so that you can access images of old templates that otherwise might be inaccessible by using the BarTender interface. You can view information about your print jobs by using the History Explorer panes, which contain filtered information from the BarTender System Database.
You use the View Selector pane to access the History Explorer panes. By default, this pane is displayed on the left side of the application window and contains a variety of predefined views. Each view contains a list of filters that you can use to filter and sort the data.
When you select a view in the View Selector pane, the data area of the History Explorer window displays the data that is associated with that view. For example, when you select the BarTender Suite: Messages view and then click the Messages by Application filter, the data area displays the BarTender messages as filtered and sorted by the application that generated them. The panes that are displayed in the data area vary depending on the view that you selected.
