Notification Dialog

The name of this dialog varies depending on where in the Workflow Designer you access it from. If you are configuring a state or transition object, it is called Enter State Notification, and if you are configuring an approval state object, it is called Approval Notification.

Use this dialog to configure a notification email message for a state, approval state, or transition object in a workflow. The following options are available:

Email Server: Displays a list of the available email servers. To configure the selected server or to add a new server, click Configure to open the Email Servers dialog.
To: Specifies the recipients of the email message.
From: Specifies the sender of the message.
Subject: Specifies the subject line of the message.
File tab: Provides options that you can use to open a document to add to the message; save, print, or preview the message; and undo or redo changes to the message body.
Home tab: Provides options that you can use to cut, copy, and paste the message text; format the text; and search for and/or replace text.
Insert tab: Provides options that you can use to add objects to the message body, such as a table, a hyperlink, or a variable. For more information about using variables, refer to Email Notification Variables.
Test: Sends a test email message so that you can verify that your configuration works as intended.
