Changing an Object's Text Format

You can change the text format of a barcode or text object using the object's Text Format property page. For barcode objects, these options affect only the human readable characters.

  1. Double-click on the desired object to open the Object Properties dialog. Alternatively, select Properties from the object's context menu.

  2. In the navigation pane, select Text Format to open the Text Format property page.

In addition to using the Text Format property page to modify the object's text formatting, the following text toolbar icons are provided as a shortcut for changing the indicated text formats:

Disables text wrapping on the selected text object.

Specifies left alignment for the lines of a wrapped (or "paragraph") text object.

Specifies center alignment for the lines of a wrapped text object.

Specifies right alignment for the lines of a wrapped text object.

Specifies justified alignment for the lines of a wrapped text object.

Specifies distributed alignment for the lines of a wrapped text object.

Automatically fits text within the specified object by adjusting properties such as point size, scale and spacing.

Automatically wraps text around the outside or inside of other objects, and inside the object border.

When text wrapping is enabled, the text within the object wraps to a new line when the edge of the text object is reached. To enable text wrapping for a normal or transformed text object, click the Wrap to fit width check box on the Wrap tab of the object's Text Format property page.
