Effects Property Page |
Use the Effects property page to apply advanced formatting options to picture objects, word processor text objects, and markup language container text objects on your template or data entry form. When you change any of the settings, the object that is displayed on the template or data entry form is updated to reflect the changes. By using the Effects property page, you can flip an object, invert its colors, or change its transparency.
You can access this property page from both the Template Design view and the Data Entry Form view, as follows:
In the Template Design view, access the Effects property page from the Picture Properties (templates) dialog for a picture object, the Word Processor Text Properties dialog for a word processor text object, or the Markup Language Text Properties dialog for a markup language container text object.
In the Data Entry Form view, access the Effects property page from the Picture Properties (forms) dialog.
The following options are available.
Effects
Mirror Horizontal: Flips the selected object about the horizontal axis.
Mirror Vertical: Flips the selected object about the vertical axis.
Negative (Inverse Colors): Inverts the colors of the selected object. The dark areas of the selected object become bright, and bright areas become dark, like a photographic negative.
Transparency: Specifies the degree to which objects or colors that are under the picture or object can be seen. The range is from 0 (opaque) to 100 (completely transparent). For more information, refer to Transparency.

Text Object (template) Specific to word processor and markup language container text objects.
