Reading Data from Databases

A database is a collection of information that is structured in such a way that it relates categories of data to each other. In BarTender, you can connect a document to a database and then specify the data that you want to use to populate objects on your template. At print time, a printed item is produced for each individual record in your database that meets your specified criteria.

In all of these cases, the most efficient way to print the data is to connect the BarTender document to an existing database on your computer and then import the information from the database into your template at print time.
