Text Object |
In the Data Entry Form view, a text object is text on the data entry form that cannot be modified at print time. A text object can contain any message that you want to appear on the form. For example, it can be a control label that gives instructions about what to enter into a related reply control, a text label that is used to describe a set of related controls, or a paragraph of text that describes the intent of the data entry form. A text object can also be a special symbol character that adds relevant information to your form or a hyperlink that the print operator can click.
You can add the following types of text objects to your data entry form:
Normal: Creates a text object that supports a single line of text. The width of the text box is determined by the length of the text. The text does not wrap.
Normal Wrapped: Creates a text object that supports multiple lines (paragraphs) of text. You specify the width of the text box, and the amount of text determines the height of the box.
Hyperlink: Creates a text object that supports a hyperlink that the print operator can click. You specify the content of the text and the actions that occur when the hyperlink is clicked.
Word Processor: Places a word processor text object onto the data entry form. You can use this object to edit rich text on the data entry form.
Symbol Font Characters: Provides a substantial selection of industry-specific graphic symbols to add to the data entry form.
