By default, BarTender creates a single, blank template each time you create a new document. In some cases, however, you may find that a single template does not fit your design needs. Consider the following situations:

• A mailing company wants to print both an address label and a return label with each print job.

• A Human Resources department delivers identification cards that have different designs on the front and back of the card.

• A printing company wants to print a separator page between items of the same type.

• A gym has different cards for different types of membership.

For these situations, you can use BarTender to design and store multiple templates within a single document.

You can also use BarTender to control the frequency at which each template in a document is printed. Some templates might be printed only one time at the beginning or end of the print job, while other templates might be printed multiple times, based on the copy quantity or serialization settings of the document.
