Use the Scanner and Camera Setup dialog, which you can access on the Administer menu, to select a scanner or camera device that is connected to your computer. BarTender can acquire images by using a device and then add them directly to the active template.

The Scanner and Camera Setup dialog is displayed the first time that you click Get Picture From Scanner or Camera on the Picture property page or on the Background tab of the Page Setup dialog.

BarTender automatically detects and displays all WIA and TWAIN devices that are currently connected to your computer. When your device appears in the dialog, select it, and then click OK to set up that device for use with BarTender.

Device Selection

• Always use selected device: Specifies that the selected device is used each time that Get Picture From Scanner or Camera is clicked. To change the default device, open the Scanner and Camera Setup dialog from the Administer menu.

• Confirm device selection when acquiring image: Specifies that BarTender prompts for the device to use each time that Get Picture From Scanner or Camera is clicked.
