Creating an Object Group

After you place several objects on your template, you might want to group certain ones together as an object group.

Grouping objects can be useful if you have spent some time positioning a set of objects relative to one another and then want to move them to another area of the template. After the objects are grouped, you can click any member of the group and move the entire group at the same time by dragging the group across the template to the location that you want without altering their positions relative to each other.

When objects are grouped, you can modify certain attributes or properties that are shared by the objects in the group at the same time instead of updating the attribute or property for each individual object. For example, if some of the objects in a group are barcodes, the symbology or density for all of the barcodes in the group can be changed at the same time. For more information, refer to Modifying Properties for Multiple Selected Objects.

Use the Group command on the Arrange menu to combine two or more objects on the template into a single group. After you do this, you can select the entire group by clicking any object in the group.
