Australia Post 4-State Customer Codes are available in four different formats. The format determines the fields, format control code (FCC), and number of bars that make up the barcode.
The following options are available:
Standard Customer Barcode: The main function of this barcode is to provide delivery point information. No Customer Information field is used in this format.
Customer Barcodes 2 & 3: These formats are exactly the same as the Standard Customer Barcode except for an additional free-form Customer Information Field. The Customer Information Field is 16 bars long in Customer Barcode 2 and 32 bars long in Customer Barcode 3.
Reply Paid Barcode: The basic format of this barcode is the same as a Standard Customer Barcode except that a different format control code is used to specify that the Reply Paid service is to be used.
Set by Data Source: Use this option to specify your own format control code after you generate a data source template. If no format control code is specified, the code for a Standard Customer Barcode (11) is used.
