On-Screen Editing Context Menu |
When you are editing a text object, you can access a context menu that provides options for editing the text and configuring the object's data sources.
To open the on-screen editing context menu
The context menu includes the following options.

Some options are available only when one or more Embedded Data data source characters are selected in the text object or when a data source other than Embedded Data is selected. |
Cut: Deletes the selected content (characters or data source) and places it on the Clipboard.
Copy: Copies the selected content (characters or data source) and places it on the Clipboard.
Paste: Copies the current contents of the Clipboard into the text object with the formatting still in place.
Paste Unformatted: Copies the current contents of the Clipboard into the text object with the formatting removed.
Delete: Deletes the selected characters or discrete data source from the text object.
Font: Opens the Fonts dialog (which includes the same options as the Font property page), where you can configure the font style for the selected data source.
New Data Source: Starts the New Data Source wizard.
Name Data Source: Starts the Change Data Source Name wizard.
Serialization: Opens the Serialization dialog.
Data Type: Opens the Data Type dialog, where you can specify the data type that you want for the selected data source.
Data Source Properties: Opens the Data Sources dialog (which includes the same options as the Data Sources property page).
Properties: Opens the Text Properties dialog.
