Bearer Bars |
Bearer bars are optional bars that surround the edges of an Interleaved 2 of 5 or ITF-14 barcode to improve barcode readability. The following options are available:
Type: Specifies the bearer bar type. Bearer bars can surround the entire barcode or line the top and bottom edges.
Thickness: Specifies the width of the bearer bars. The default setting is 3 X (three times the X dimension).
Quiet Zone: Specifies the width of the quiet zones. The default setting is 10 X (10 times the X dimension). If you configure the bearer bar Type value to Top/Bottom, you can set this value to None so that your top and bottom bearer bars have no quiet zone. However, if you configure the bearer bar Type value to Rectangle, None is not an option. The barcode must have a quiet zone so that the bearer bars can be distinguished from the barcode.
