Print Portal allows users to print documents to printers connected to the web server host, as well as to printers connected to their own computers. To print to any of these printers, they must first be configured for use with Print Portal.
Printers can be configured using one of the following methods:
The configuration options allowed by the two methods are identical.

If authentication has been enabled for Print Portal and security is also enabled in Administration Console, non-administrator users will have access to only the Add or Change Printers dialog from the Print Document dialog, and only when the Allow non-Adminstrator users to add custom printer configuration option is enabled on the Print Settings property page.

To configure a printer that is connected to the web server

Click in the Add or Change Printers section of the Printers property page to open the New Print Wizard. Alternatively, click Add or Change Printers on the Print Document dialog, and then click in the Add or Change Printers dialog.

Select The printer is connected to the web server.

Click Next to display the wizard's Printer Selection page.

Click on the desired printer to select it.

Click Next to display the wizard's Printer Configuration Name page.

If desired, type a new name for the printer in the Name field.

Click Finish to close the wizard. The new printer is displayed in the Add or Change Printers list.

Click OK to save your changes on the Printers property page and close the Administrative Setup page. Alternatively, click OK to close the Add or Change Printers dialog and return to the Print Document dialog.
To configure a printer that is connected to a client computer

Click in the Add or Change Printers section of the Printers property page to open the New Print Wizard. Alternatively, click Add or Change Printers on the Print Document dialog, and then click in the Add or Change Printers dialog.

Select The printer is connected to my computer.

Click Next to display the wizard's Printing Method page.

Click on the desired printing method.

Click Next to display the wizard's Printer Selection page.

Click on the desired printer to select it.

Click Next to display the wizard's Compatible Printer Selection page. You must select a printer or print driver installed on the web server that is compatible with the client printer you selected on the previous page.

Click Next to display the wizard's Printer Configuration Name page.

If desired, type a new name for the printer in the Name field.

Click Finish to close the wizard. The new printer is displayed in the Add or Change Printers list.

Click OK to save your changes on the Printers property page and close the Administrative Setup page. Alternatively, click OK to close the Add or Change Printers dialog and return to the Print Document dialog.

When configuring client printers, the New Printer Wizard requires that you match the client printer to a printer or print driver model on the web server.
