The File menu provides options that control the behavior of History Explorer. The following options are available:

• Connect to System Database: Connects History Explorer to the BarTender System Database. This option is available if History Explorer failed to connect to the BarTender System Database when it started, which can occur when the BarTender System Service is not running. After you restart the BarTender System Service, you can use this option to connect to the BarTender System Database without needing to exit and restart History Explorer.

• Export View: Opens the Preview dialog, which provides a preview of the information that is displayed in the History Explorer window that you can modify, export to a file, and print.

• Exit: Exits History Explorer.
