Data Sources to Log |
At times, you may want the data that is contained in the objects on a template to be included in a log file that is generated during a print job. The setting for the Data Sources to Log option on the Per Printed Item tab of the Print Job Text File Log Setup dialog enables you to specify the data sources that are logged in your text file. Furthermore, you can use the Select Data Sources to Log dialog, accessible by clicking the Select button, to select specific data sources to include in your text log file.
When selecting which data sources to log, you can choose from the following options:
None: Specifies that none of the data sources in the template will be logged.
All: Specifies that every data source in the template will be logged.
Named Data Sources: Specifies that every named data source in the template will be logged.
Selected Data Sources: Specifies that only the selected data sources will be logged. To select data sources in the template, click the Select button to open the Select Data Sources to Log dialog.
The Select Data Sources to Log dialog lists every data source in the open document. Whenever you give a name to a data source, the data source appears in the Named Data Sources section. All other data sources are listed as Template Object Data Sources. To see what object data sources are available, simply expand the object that you want in the Template Object Data Sources section.
To log a specific data source to the text file log, click to select the check box that is next to the data source that you want. When all desired data sources are selected, click OK to close the Select Data Sources to Log dialog.
