Number of Items to Print |
While the default behavior in BarTender is that you can manually specify the number of printed items that you want directly from the Print dialog, other options are available, including obtaining the number from a value that is stored in a data source or in a connected database. If you have designed your document for serialization, these same options are available for two separate values; one value that determines the number of serialized items to print, and a second value that determines how many copies to print of each serialized item.
The Print Quantity Options dialog enables you to specify the method you want to use to obtain the number of copies or serial numbers that you want to print
Obtaining the Print Quantity from a Database
When a database is connected to a document, you can specify that BarTender reads a value from a database field to determine the number of copies and/or serial numbers to print for each record. The number of identical printed items will vary for each record according to the value stored in that database field for each record.
