The Compression transform condenses Picture or Binary data sources for use in barcodes or encoder objects. The Compression dialog contains the following:

• Enable Compression: When enabled, allows you to choose the compression technique of choice.

• Method: Specifies the method used to compress the data input. The following methods are available:

  • Deflate: This option uses a combination of Huffman coding and the LZ77 algorithm.

  • GZip: This option uses GZip, an open-source compression method based on unpatented, open-source algorithms.
