Edit Menu |
The Edit menu includes options that you can use to cut, copy, paste, and delete one or more objects from a template or one or more data entry controls and objects from the Data Entry Form view. These capabilities use the Windows Clipboard.
The Clipboard is a place in Windows memory where a copy of a single object or group of objects (and data entry controls) can be stored. You can use it to easily transfer objects from one template to another, from one form to another, or between different documents.
The following options are available on the Edit menu:
Undo: Undoes the previous action.
Redo: Redoes the previously undone action.
Cut: Deletes the selected items (objects or controls) and copies them to the Clipboard.
Copy: Copies the selected items to the Clipboard. This action does not delete the selected items.
Paste: Places a copy of the items that are on the Clipboard on the template or data entry form. You can use this option to add bitmaps that were created in other programs to a template or data entry form.
Paste Unformatted: Places a copy of the items that are on the Clipboard on the template or data entry form. When you use this command, the text automatically uses the default font.
Delete: Removes the selected items from the template or data entry form. This option does not copy the selected items to the Clipboard before they are removed.
Select All: Selects all of the items on the template or data entry form.
Embedded Data Tables: Opens the Embedded Data Table Editor, which you can use to create and manage one or more data tables to use as a data source. For more information, refer to Using the Embedded Data Table Editor.
Scripts: Opens the
Properties: Opens the Object Properties dialog for the selected object.
