Use the Use Item dialog to decrease the quantity of an existing inventory item to reflect the removal of items from storage. This feature is available for all existing items that have at least one item in storage.

The following settings are available:

• Item: Displays the item that is used. Read-only.

• Location: Specifies the location from which the specified quantity of the item is removed. All locations for the selected inventory item are available for selection. If there is only one defined location, the items are automatically added to that location, and the location setting is not displayed.

• Quantity in stock: Displays the current quantity of the item that is stored in the selected location. Read-only.

• Quantity used: Specifies the quantity of the item to be removed from the selected location.

• Projected new quantity: Displays the projected quantity of the item that will be stored in the location after the operation. Read-only.
