Use the Receive Item dialog, which you can access from the Inventory menu, to increase the quantity of an existing inventory item to reflect the addition of items to storage. This feature is available for all existing items.

The following options are available:

• Item: Displays the item that is selected for the receive operation. Read-only.

• Location: Specifies the location into which the specified quantity of the item is added. All defined storage locations are available for selection. If there is only one defined location, the items are automatically added to that location, and the location setting is not displayed.

• Quantity In Stock: Displays the current quantity of the item that is stored in the selected location. Read-only.

• Quantity Received: Specifies the quantity of the item to be added to the selected location.

• Projected New Quantity: Displays the projected quantity of the item that will be stored in the location after the operation. Read-only.
