BarTender Suite: Messages

All BarTender Suite applications provide print job information and identify problems by using alert messages. When an alert message is triggered, it is automatically stored in the BarTender System Database.

Use the options in the BarTender Suite: Messages view to filter, sort, and view application messages that are returned by applications in the BarTender Suite. This view displays the date and time when the message was created, the severity level, the message content, and the application that generated the message.

To display application messages, click one of the filter options under the BarTender Suite: Messages header in the View Selector pane. You can use a predefined filter or customize your own.

The following filter options are available:

All Messages: Displays all of the messages.

  Messages by Application: Displays messages as grouped by the application that generated them.

  Messages by Computer: Displays messages as grouped by the computer that was in use when the message was generated.

  Custom: Displays the custom filter controls at the top of the BarTender Suite: Messages pane. You can use these controls to create custom filters to display only those messages that meet specific criteria. For more information, refer to Creating Custom Filters.

After you click a filter, message information appears in the BarTender Suite: Messages pane. You can customize the display by sorting, grouping, or filtering the data.
