Printer Maestro: Inventory Events

Printer Maestro manages the supply levels and inventory for your printer. Information about all inventory events is stored in the BarTender System Database, including the event time, severity level, hardware, message contents, and item description. By using the options in the Printer Maestro: Inventory Events view, you can filter, sort, and view this information in History Explorer.

To log Printer Maestro print jobs to the BarTender System Database and subsequently display them in History Explorer, you must enable the BarTender System Database event target in Printer Maestro. To do this, click to select the Enable check box on the Events tab of the Events Setup dialog in Printer Maestro. The view includes the following panes:

To display inventory information, click one of the filter options under the Print Maestro: Inventory Events header in the View Selector pane. You can use a predefined filter or customize your own.

The following filter options are available:

All Inventory Events: Displays all inventory events that are logged to the BarTender System Database.

  Events by Item: Displays all inventory events that are logged to the BarTender System Database as grouped by item.

  Custom: Displays the custom filter controls at the top of the Printer Maestro: Inventory Events pane. You can use these controls to create custom filters to display only those events that meet specific criteria. For more information, refer to Creating Custom Filters.

After you click a filter, inventory event information appears in the Printer Maestro: Inventory Events pane and the Selected Inventory Event Details pane. You can customize the display by sorting, grouping, or filtering the data. You can also reposition the panes to customize the appearance of the History Explorer window.
