Address Tag

ClosedDescription

Sets the address of the preferred BarTender Licensing Service.

ClosedSyntax

<Address>Value</Address>

Where Value equals any valid service address.

ClosedParent Tag

<LicenseServer>

ClosedRemarks

The <Address> tag sets the address of the computer that is running the preferred BarTender Licensing Service. If the preferred service is not available, BarTender uses the server that is specified in the <AlternateAddress> tag. The address can be a server name (such as MyServer), a domain name (such as Shipping.MyCompany.com), an IP address (such as 10.1.1.68), or an asterisk ("*").

When you set the <Address> tag to an asterisk, Auto Detect is turned on for both the preferred and alternate services. When you set only the <AlternateAddress> tag to an asterisk, the system searches for a BarTender Licensing Service that is named "*" if the preferred service cannot be found.

<Address> is an optional tag that can be used with the <Print> and <FormatSetup> commands when the <LicenseServer> tag is included in the script.
