GS1 DataBar & CC-B
CC-B is a component of a composite barcode which can be used in conjunction with Code 128, EAN/JAN-8, EAN/JAN-13, UPC-A, GS1 DataBar Limited, or any member of the GS1 DataBar and GS1 DataBar Expanded families of symbologies. It is based on MicroPDF417, and designed to minimize symbol size relative to the amount of encoded data.
CC-B differs from MicroPDF417 in the following ways:
It is limited in size to 338 digits/characters.
The character set includes only the 52 letters (upper and lower case) of the Roman alphabet, numerals, and the punctuation marks, ! " % & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? _ <space character>. It can also include the FNC1 character. (The data stream for the whole composite barcode also includes a special separator character "|" between the primary and secondary data.)
The first codeword must be 920.
For other restrictions refer to the AIM GS1 Composite Symbology Specification.

The printing software automatically selects between CC-A and CC-B depending on the size of the data. This choice is not user-selectable. |
