ClosedThe Symbology Structure

The name "BC412" comes from the fact that each character is encoded by a set of 4 bars in 12 module positions. Each bar in the symbol is the same width; the absence and/or presence of bars determines the data encoded into the symbol. Every BC412 symbol ends with a mod 35 check digit.

Each symbol begins with a start character composed of one bar, followed by two spaces. It also contains a stop character, whose structure is bar, space, bar.
