Rows

Some two dimensional (2D) symbologies are organized into multiple rows of information, with each row looking like a very thin barcode. For example, the following image is a Code 49 symbol with 3 rows.

The Rows option enables you to set the number of rows you want for your symbol. When Auto is selected, the number of rows and columns in the data area is adjusted so that the symbol's overall shape is as close to a square as possible.

ClosedCODABLOCK F

The CODABLOCK F symbology supports between 2 and 44 rows. When Auto is selected, the number of rows and columns in the data area is adjusted so that the symbology's overall shape is as close to a square as possible.

You can specify the number of rows. However, only certain combinations of rows and columns may be used. Therefore, the number of rows available in the Rows dropdown list will vary depending on the number of columns selected in the Columns option.

ClosedCode 16K

The Code 16K symbology supports between 2 and 16 rows. When Auto is selected, the number of rows and columns in the data area is adjusted so that the symbology's overall shape is as close to a square as possible.

ClosedCode 49

The Code 49 symbology supports between 2 and 8 rows. When Auto is selected, the number of rows and columns in the data area is adjusted so that the symbology's overall shape is as close to a square as possible.

ClosedMicroPDF417

The MicroPDF417 symbology automatically determines the number of rows to use based on the data source value and the number of columns selected in the Columns option.

ClosedPDF417

The PDF417 symbology supports between 3 and 90 rows. When Auto is selected, the number of rows and columns in the data area is adjusted so that the symbology's overall shape is as close to a square as possible.

You can specify the number of rows. However, only certain combinations of rows and columns may be used. Therefore, the number of rows available in the Rows dropdown list will vary depending on the number of columns selected in the Columns option.
