Text Input Box Property Page |
The Text Input Box property page allows you to define the properties for the reply box including dimensions and alignment, scroll bars, and word wrapping. You can specify that the reply box is read only, or even turn it into a password input box.
The following options are available:
Properties
Height: Defines the amount of vertical space available in the reply box in number of lines.
Width: Defines the horizontal dimension of the reply box in the specified unit of measurement.
Alignment: Defines the alignment of the text contained in the reply box. Select Auto to use the alignment specified by the Reading Order setting.
Reading Order: Sets the reading order for the reply box. Choose Auto to use the reading order set on the Form property page.
Scroll Bars: Specifies the type of scroll bar, if any, you want for the text input box control. Available when the Height property is set to greater than 1 line. The Word wrap option must be disabled for the horizontal scroll bar to appear.
Word wrap: When enabled, word wrapping occurs within the text input box control. Available when the Height property is set to greater than 1 line.
Read only: When enabled, prevents any user from modifying the default reply in the reply box at print-time.
Password: When enabled, hides the user input and replaces the characters with symbols. Available when the Height property is set to 1 line.
Password Character: Specifies the symbol that replaces the characters typed into the text input box control. You can select from the predefined symbols, or type the single character symbol that you want to use into the dropdown field. Available when the Password property is enabled. The appearance of the symbol chosen is font-dependent and some characters may not work with certain fonts.
