Using Scales for Data Entry |
A weighing scale, or simply scale, is a hardware measuring device used to determine the weight of objects. Scales are commonly used in production and/or industrial environments, as many retail products are sold based on the net weight of the object. For more information about weight, refer to Understanding Weight Measurements.
You can read data directly from a connected scale and print it on your items using a data entry form. First, add a scale display control to your data entry form, and link it to an installed weighing scale configuration on your computer. At print-time, the data entry form will display the measured weight that will print on your item(s).
