By default, BarTender creates a single, blank template each time you create a new document. In some cases, however, you may find that a single template does not fit your design needs. Consider the following situations:

• A mailing company wishes to print both an address label and a return label with each print job.

• An HR department delivers identification cards with different designs on the front and back of the card.

• A printing company wants to print a separator page between items of the same type.

• A gym has different cards for different types of membership.

For these situations, BarTender provides the ability to design and store multiple templates within a single document.

BarTender enables you to control the frequency that each template in a document will print. Some templates can be printed only once at the beginning or end of the print job, while other templates may print multiple times, based on the copies and/or serialization settings of the document.
