Repeating Segment Rules Dialog |
The Repeating Segment Rules dialog determines the rules and conditions by which BarTender draws data from fields for repeatable segments, which are segments that can appear multiple times under the same parent segment.
These are the ways that BarTender can draw data from a selected field of a repeatable segment:
True-or-False Conditions: Allows you to create true-or-false statements if you want BarTender to draw data from the field only if certain conditions are met by the data in the IDoc. You can also compound two or more such statements using the Boolean operators "And" and "Or". For more information, see the Query Prompts Dialog topic.
Use First Segment Only: Pulls data from the field only where it appears on the first occurrence of the segment that meets the rule.
Concatenate: Pulls data from the field on every occurrence of the segment that meets the rule. The data will be concatenated into a single field on the flat record that BarTender creates.
Concatenate with Spaces: Pulls data from field on every occurrence of the segment that meets the rule. The data will be concatenated with spaces into a single field on the flat record that BarTender creates.
