Specifying Supplementals |
You can specify supplementals by either appending a 2-digit or 5-digit supplemental barcode to an existing UPC or EAN barcode, or by simply creating a 2-digit or 5-digit UPC supplemental barcode as a new barcode object on your template.
The data for the main UPC or EAN barcode and the appended supplemental is specified just like the data for any other barcode — either as embedded data, user input in the data entry form, or data read from a database. The only difference is that the data for the main UPC or EAN barcode and the data for the supplemental are both specified in the field for the main barcode.
The appearance of the supplemental is specified using the Supplemental Options dialog.
