Selecting a Custom Color

You can select a custom color for the font, line, and fill properties of objects on the template, as well as for the template itself, on the Custom tab of the Colors dialog. You can access the Colors dialog by selecting More Colors anywhere the Color control is available. The Color control appears in various places on the toolbars, as well as on property pages throughout the Properties dialog, and on the Background tab of the Page Setup dialog.

Selecting your custom color can be as simple as clicking on and dragging the mouse pointer across the interactive color palette on this tab, and/or dragging the arrow along the vertical color bar to the right of the color palette to find the desired lightness or darkness of the color currently selected in the palette.

For greater precision in selecting your custom color, you can set the red, green, and blue (RGB) color values that define the color, and further customize the color by setting its hue, saturation, and/or luminosity.

In some instances, you can only access the Color dialog for a particular property from the property page itself. For example, if you want to select a custom color for a text object's border, you must do this from the Border property page of the Text Properties dialog,
