Using Multiple Templates

By default, BarTender creates a single, blank template each time you start a new BarTender document. In some cases, however, you may find that a single template does not fit your design needs. For these situations, BarTender provides the ability to design and store multiple templates within a single document. The use of multiple templates allows you to print different designs based on the data queried from a database, or print multiple designs in the same job. When printing mailing labels, you could print a return address label and the ship-to label in the same print job. When printing ID cards, this allows you to print two-sided cards, or print different cards for different types of membership or employee status.

BarTender allows you to control the frequency that each template in a document will print. Some templates can be printed only once at the beginning or end of the print job, while other templates may print multiple times, based on the copies and/or serialization settings of the BarTender document.
