Range Checking Dialog

The Range Checking dialog, accessible from the Transforms tab of the Data Source property page, allows you to specify a range of allowable dates that can be entered in the selected data source. Additionally, the settings in this dialog instruct BarTender how to behave if the upper and lower limits are not met.

Start of Range

• Enforce start of range. When enabled, activates the options for specifying the earliest allowable date for the selected data source.

• First valid date. Specifies the earliest date allowed in the selected data source.

• Warn when date is before first valid date. When enabled, instructs BarTender to deliver a warning at print-time when the date contained in the selected data source is before the earliest allowable date.

End of Range

• Enforce end of range. When enabled, activates the options for specifying the last allowable date for the selected data source.

• Last valid date. Specifies the last date allowed in the selected data source.

• Warn when date is after last valid date. When enabled, instructs BarTender to deliver a warning at print-time when the date contained in the selected data source is after the last allowable date.
