The Code 93i symbology can be structured in two ways, with either two check characters or with error correction.

The Code 93i symbology supports optional error correction. When the Error Correction symbology option is enabled, a Special Features Flag (character value [52]) is inserted in the middle of the symbol followed by a message length indicator. Code 93i symbols encoded with error correction have six error correction codewords of value [0] to [52] using the Reed-Solomon error correction methodology. Symbols with error correction can be up to a maximum of 52 characters not including start and stop characters.
