Bearer Bars |
Bearer bars are optional bars surrounding the edges of an Interleaved 2-of-5 barcode that can improve barcode readability. When adding bearer bars to your barcode, the following options are available for you to customize:
Type. Defines the type of bearer bars. Bearer bars can either surround the entire barcode or line the top and bottom edges of the barcode.
Thickness. Sets the thickness of the bearer bars. The default setting is 3 X.
Quiet Zone. Sets the thickness of the quiet zones. The quiet zone is the space before and after the barcode. The default setting is 10 X. Setting this value to None allows you to have Top/Bottom bearer bars with no quiet zone. You must have a quiet zone if you select Rectangle bearer bars so that the bearer bars can be distinguished from the barcode.
