Saving

You can use the Save, Save As, or Print to File commands to save changes that you made to an open
The Save command saves modifications to an already existing file, while the Save As command is used to save a newly created file. The Print to File option, available from the Print dialog, allows you to save the document in the special language of your printer.

To save modifications to an already existing file
Select Save from the File menu. Alternatively, click the icon on the main toolbar. This saves the currently loaded document using the same path and file name from which it was opened.

To save a new document
Select Save As from the File menu. Alternatively, click the icon on the main toolbar.
In the Save As dialog, specify the desired file type in the File Type field located at the bottom of the dialog. The default setting, "
In the Location field, click on the drive containing the required folder.
In the list box directly below the Location field, double-click on folder names until you open the subfolder within which you want to save the document.
If you want to give the document a unique file name, type the new name into the File Name field.
Click Save to save the document.
To save a BarTender document to Librarian
Select Save As from the File menu. Alternatively, click the icon on the main toolbar.
In the Save As dialog, specify the desired file type in the File Type field located at the bottom of the dialog. The default setting, "BarTender Document - (*.btw)," saves the file as a BarTender document.
Click on the Librarian shortcut button on the left side of the dialog.
Browse to the location where you want to save the document.
If you want to give the document a unique file name, type the new name into the File Name field.
Click Save to save the document.

If you wish to save a BarTender document over an existing Librarian file, a draft of the document will be created. Upon saving the file, BarTender will prompt you to either create a new revision and check in the file to the repository, save the draft and continue to edit the templates in the document, or abort the save operation. If you continue to modify the document, you will be prompted to check the file in at a later time. |
To save a document in your printer's language
Select the Print command on the File menu to open the Print dialog. Alternatively, click the icon on the main toolbar.
In the Printer section, enable the Print to File option.
Make any additional changes to the settings in the Print dialog, then click Print.
When you click Print, you will be prompted to choose a path and file name for your document, written in the selected printer's language.
