You can open and view more than one
In addition to viewing documents one at a time, you can display multiple documents in the window simultaneously using the options available in the Window menu.
You can open a document that is stored on your computer or one that is saved in Librarian. Librarian is a revision control system that allows multiple users to access a BarTender document, but only one user is able to modify each file at a time. To view or edit a file from Librarian's repository, click on the Librarian shortcut on the left hand side of the Open Document dialog.

Select Open from the File menu to open the Open Document dialog. Alternatively, select the icon on the main toolbar.
In the Location field, select the drive and/or directory that contains the desired document.
In the list box directly below the Location field, double-click on the name of the folder that contains the document. Continue double-clicking until you open the subfolder that contains the desired file.
Select the desired document.
Click Open to load the selected document.

To open a BarTender document saved in Librarian
Select Open from the File menu to open the Open Document dialog. Alternatively, select the icon on the main toolbar.
Click on the Librarian shortcut button on the left side of the dialog to display documents in Librarian's repository.
Browse to the folder that contains the desired file.
Select the desired document. BarTender will display a preview image of the document, as well as any comments that were saved with the selected document.
Click Open to load the selected document.
