Paragraph Width Dialog |
The Paragraph Width dialog, accessible by clicking the icon on the General tab of the Text Format property page, lets you specify the paragraph width behavior of the selected object.
Paragraph Width
Wrap to specified width. Specifies that the paragraph text wraps within the object's defined width. This is the default option for text objects.
Paragraph Width. Specifies the paragraph width for the selected object. Available when Wrap to specified width is selected.
Wrap to barcode width. When enabled, sizes the width of the paragraph based on the width of the barcode itself. The size of the barcode will vary based on the data encoded into the barcode object. When combined with auto-size, you can set the human readable to always match the width of the barcode object. Available only for barcode objects.
Minimum Width. Specifies the minimum paragraph width for the selected barcode object. Use careful consideration when setting Minimum Width. For example, if you are encoding 01 into a barcode that is only 0.1 inches wide, each character of the human readable text becomes its own line. Available only when Wrap to barcode width is selected.
Automatically size to fit text. Specifies that the object automatically resizes to fit the width of the paragraph text, maintaining all formatting attributes including font size, scale, and character spacing. When selected, the Paragraph Width option on the General tab is set to Auto. This is the default option for barcode objects.

Enabling Automatically size to fit text can result in a paragraph that is too wide for your document. Be sure to test with the maximum sized paragraph you plan for the object to ensure that it fits your document as expected. |
