Miscellaneous Options

• Immediate Print From Toolbar. When enabled, suppresses the Print dialog when a print job is executed using the icon on the main toolbar.

• Show Font Samples in Typeface List. When enabled, displays a preview of each font in the dropdown list of the text toolbar. If you have performance issues with your computer, you may wish to disable this option.

• Sort Typeface List by Font Type. When enabled, sorts typefaces by type, such as printer fonts and TrueType fonts.

• Show Tooltip When Snapping. When enabled, displays the tooltip for the Snap to Object or Ruler shortcut on the view toolbar each time an object is moved or resized when snapping is enabled.

• Set Object Reference Point When Snapping. When enabled, resets the object reference points of objects being moved or resized with BarTender's Snap to Object or Ruler enabled. For more information, refer to Object Snapping.

• Use Transparent Effects. When selected, enables certain visual effects that may be useful while designing templates. Available only if the computer's display settings are set for 24-bit color or greater.

• Show RFID Antenna on Template. Toggles the visibility of an icon on the template representing an item's RFID antenna.

• Minimize Location. Determines how BarTender appears when minimized. Based on this setting, BarTender can minimize to the task bar or as an icon in the system tray.

Application Startup

• Action. Specifies how BarTender will behave when it starts.

New Document Behavior

The options in this section determine how BarTender responds when you select New from the File menu or select the icon on the main toolbar.

• Run Wizard. Launches the New Document Wizard, which walks you step-by-step through setting up the page specifications and template background options.

• Instant, Blank Template. Opens a blank template based on the default shape and size settings of the Windows default printer.

• Start Based on Existing BarTender Document. Opens a copy of the BarTender document specified in the Document field. To specify a document, simply type in the path and file name or select the Browse button to navigate to the desired file location.

Language

• Language. Specifies the language in which BarTender will display its menus and dialogs. If the language in which you need to display BarTender is not in the dropdown list, additional languages can be installed using BarTender's setup program.
